Part 2
Developing Christian Character
Works of the Flesh & Fruit of the Spirit
TWENTY FOUR LESSONS.. Online and book content in a Workshop style course, with Bonus daily devotional content.
I Peter 1:14-16 calls us “to not be conformed to evil desires…..but to BE holy in all we do”. Seems like an impossible mission, but not with God’s spirit within us to “put off the old, and put on the new(Ephesians 4:22-24)” by developing the Fruit of the Spirit within us. This course has all the “steps” God has provided to mature our walk
Key teachers are Dr. Jerry Bridges of The Navigators (The Practice of Godliness), RC Sproul of Ligonier Ministries (Growing in Sanctification and Developing Christian Character), Pastor Alistair Begg and Pacific Crossroads Church pastors’ series on The Fruit of the Spirit, along with select experts on various “steps”.
Knowing God
Knowing God and His Holiness
TWENTY-FIVE LESSONS. Online and book content in a workshop-style course, with bonus weekly devotional content.
Worthwhile relationships are based on knowledge. A vibrant relationship with the triune God must be rooted in a firm understanding of who He reveals Himself to be in His Word. This course invites us to pursue a more intimate and worshipful relationship with Him. “The foundation of all true knowledge of God must be clear mental apprehension of His perfections as revealed in Holy Scripture. An unknown God can neither be trusted, served, nor worshipped.” (A.W.Pink, The Attributes of God)
Key teachers are Dr. J.I. Packer of Regent College (Knowing God and Thinking Straight about God) Drs. RC Sproul and Stephen Larson of Ligonier Ministries (The Holiness of God, Questions about God, and The Attributes of God), Pastor A.W. Pink (The Attributes of God) along with select experts and study guides on various “steps”.
The Holiness of God
EIGHT LESSONS: Online and book content in a meeting-style course, with Bonus discussion questions and devotional content.
R.C. Sproul presents the terrifying biblical picture of God’s awesome holiness and why it is so foundational to God-centered, God-honoring theology and Christian living.
When Isaiah encountered our most holy God, he cried out, "Woe is me!" God's holiness both fascinates and terrifies us. It reveals to us who we are, and that can either drive us away in fear or cause us to cry out for mercy. This study illustrates the majesty of God's holiness through a biblical and historical account of what people experience when they encounter the Holy One and find ultimate refuge in the righteousness of Christ.
After Darkness, Light
TWENTY-FIVE LESSONS: Online and book content in a meeting-style course, with Bonus discussion questions and devotional content.
People may wonder just what it was about a five-hundred-year-old historical movement of the Protestant Reformation that affects our thinking so much today. Join our key teachers for an inviting, approachable take on “Reformation 101,” as we explore the events of the Protestant Reformation from the perspective of important figures.
In addition, we will study the life and legacy of Martin Luther as an intellectual giant, a brave opponent of corruption, a shaper of culture, indeed, as one of the most significant figures in Western history. Many people, however, are unaware of the events of Luther's life that led him to make a courageous stand for the gospel in the sixteenth century. We will trace the major events of Luther's life and explores the gospel recovered by Luther.
Lastly, we have woven into the key historic events the Five Solas doctrines of our faith, with in-depth teachings of each of these “alone” statements (Faith, Grace, Scripture, Christ, God’s Glory).
